Boys Boys Boys
We grow up from a young age being told that if a boy picks on us that he likes us. When I hear this now My immediate reaction is a slap to the face however I am a civil person and instead keep my hands, and thoughts to myself. But why is it that boys are told that they are only picking on us because were pretty, yet when a girl would pick on a girl it was definitely some rumor or a case of the typical mean girls. Boys are always given excuses by adults. Even now in highschool and even middle school girls are told that they have to dress a certain way in order to not distract a boys mind, because somehow its a girls fault that his mind wanders to innapropriate places at innapropriate times. Essentially girls are being taught that what she wears and how she looks is more important than her education. Our shorts in middle school had to be finger tip length but what about those poor girls with long arms and short legs? Our shorts now have to be at our knees, because apprently thighs are the most dostracting thing since megan fox was in transformers. Dont forget our shoulders are evil and the devil is that thin little bra strap peeking out. So why does society make so many excuses for males? And why the heck do I have to pay the price of feeling ashamed of my body?
